Intelligent, Intelligible Life ~ 31 March 2017

One of the news sources I frequently patrol every day while seeking correspondences between astrological aspects and their corresponding effects in the real world, featured an article today detailing the moons in our solar system and nearby planets that appear most likely to support intelligent life.

Of course, tomorrow is April Fools’ Day. The temptation for many also seeing this article might be for some to post a tantalizing article regarding life found on other planets, planets coming in to threaten earth, or spaceships seen hovering above our cities. All of these pose the premise that there is intelligent - or possibly more intelligent life out there. Going back to the beginning, this whole “there’s something else out there” thing, largely attributed to Orson Welles and his infamous radio broadcast of H. G. Wells’ novel, War of the Worlds, actually started with Nikola Tesla. In 1899, Tesla claimed he had detected radio signals from Mars. Oh, boy. Here we go and there we went.

In the spirit of April Fools’ one might wonder if aliens existed on other nearby worlds, would they surmise that transmissions our planet, from TV to tweets, might signal intelligent/intelligible life on Earth. Also curious and somewhat April Foolsie in context, why was the post I encountered today was titled, “Here Are the 7 Best Places in the Universe to Look for Alien Life,” instead of “intelligent life?”

So what are the lucky seven most likely candidates (positions noted 2000.0)? They are: Proxima Centauri B (29 Libra 07), TRAPPIST-1 (15 Pisces 44), Tabby’s Star (KIC 8462852 @ 23 Aquarius 13), Przybylski’s Star (HD101065 @ 18 Libra 29), Europa (located at Jupiter), Enceladus (located at Saturn) and Titan (also located at Saturn).

According to a site that catalogs all known planets outside our solar system, as of this morning we are aware of 3,607 other planets in orbits around stars that are not our Sun.

We still await the announcement by astronomers of the next big planet (Mars-sized) out in our solar system in something like a 20K year orbit around our Sun. No fooling. Totally true.

What are the odds of intelligent/intelligible life out there? Huge.

What are the odds that with all the goings on around us in the real world that it might seem that intelligent/intelligible life is present and accounted for? Not so huge.

Spoiler Alert! I’m going to mention plot points of the movie Arrival in the next paragraph. Feel free to read over it.

In the movie Arrival there seems to be a heap of confusion about precise semantical implications of alien language cuneiform depictions. Two words get folded over: words and weapons. Ultimately, the theme that emerges in this time-warp, space warp sci-fi film is: words rule. The pen is mightier than the sword. Popcorn hint: Watch Arrival with intelligent life who knows where to find the online plot point decoder ring. Personally, I loved it. Thought the film is entirely resonant with Saturn to the Galactic Center.

While the whole Uranus-Eris “outsiders rule” theme plays out in politics and sports and while Saturn stationing on the Galactic Center pauses to retrograde, it’s hard to find inspired, intelligent insights to weigh our ways through the thick real-world requirements of our time. It seems Saturn presently hesitates to verify that the most recently available galactic update was in fact downloaded, scanned for viruses, then installed. Upon installation, all the groovy upgrades seek application, too. Take time to explore all new features.

It is important to recognize that a creative goddess planet within the midst of our own solar system, Haumea, currently opposes the Uranus-Eris opposition and will do so for the entire duration of that solipsism stimulating conjunction.

Haumea seeks to unleash the inner lava flow present in every being. This could be termed the flow of energy in perfect organic weaving between the chakras; something Tesla stood on the cusp of realizing. It could be deemed the natural creativity possessed by each and every soul. Whatever word applies to the surging energy inside that seeks to burst out in brilliant creative application, when weaponized, one becomes a warrior for full and complete expression - not to be overlooked or ignored - to be reckoned with. One might reckon that when weaponized and in the full and complete articulation mode of all creative inner workings, whether words are applied or not, one includes oneself in the full working circle of life.

From the mythology we know that Haumea is not fond of intervening third-party influences that oppose her objectives. Applied to personal creative dynamics, this implies that those who nay say in the interest of preventing someone from getting hurt or rejected in life, must be disregarded. The only option: full personal expression in the maximum.

How to get started reinvigorating the lava of this long lingering oppositional line up? Fiddle with words. A news story reported the other day that elementary school students who were allowed to use doodle pads developed original thinking faster and with a distinctly clearer sense of coherence. That’s cool.

We are now in Aries time. Accompanying the Sun through Aries are Mercury (soon to step into the grounding essence of Taurus at the pivot point of the messenger’s next retrogradation), Venus (soon to retrograde into Pisces for a playful romp with watercolors aspiring to come up with the next huge inspiration), and previously noted Uranus and Eris.

Aries being the sign that it is extracts from all the above, “Doodle. Don’t dwaddle.”

In that doodling, theories suppose that some amazing inspirations might appear. Get old-fashioned. Put down the electronic tablet. Pick up a pad and paper. On the day that Crayola crayons announces the elimination of “dandelion” from its box of 24, grab some crayons let the distinctive waxy scent trigger primal memories of childhood daydreams and innocent, grandiose life visions. Perhaps inscribing goals with crayons on a wide-lined tablet with wood chips in it might allow Aries application in its purest and most innocent form.

Here’s to intelligibility in all inspiration.

More soon.
